Death Benefit

How to request a death benefit claim:

Please contact Ironworkers Local 377 within 30 days of the member’s passing.

We will request two certified death certificates. One certificate will be mailed to the trust fund for processing and one to the international for processing.

Once the death certificates are mailed to our office, we will process and mail them to both entities. Once the local confirms the beneficiary on file and the members dues were up to date at the time of his/her death we will begin to process the initial death benefit from Ironworkers Local 377.

The local has a $2,500.00 death benefit and the international’s death benefit is anywhere from $500.00 to $2,200.00 based on the years of service as an ironworker.

The Trust Fund will contact the beneficiary listed on file with any benefits that are available as a payout.

Death Benefit claims may take up to 60 days to process if all forms are received.
Please review Ironworkers Local 377 Bylaws Article XIII Sections 5-8 for detailed information on how you determine your qualification.

You can also email us at: and notify us of any members passing.
